Raidho Acoustics is proud to introduce the new Raidho X1.6 Reference, a highly refined evolution of the acclaimed X1.6 and a loudspeaker created for listeners who want exceptional musical intimacy, speed and scale from a compact design.

The X1.6 Reference is not a small update. It is a significant step forward.

Built by hand in house in Denmark, the new model takes the musical foundation of the X1.6

and elevates it with technologies and craftsmanship normally reserved for far more ambitious loudspeakers. At the heart of the upgrade is a completely hand built cross over using Mundorf

components and Nordost Valhalla technology cabling not only inside the loudspeaker, but also within the crossover itself. This level of attention is extremely unusual in a compact loudspeaker, and rare even at significantly higher price points.

The result is a speaker that feels more open, more effortless and more emotionally direct.

Music appears from a quieter background. Dynamics are more immediate. Details are not pushed forward, but revealed naturally. The X1.6 Reference is designed to disappear in the room and leave only the performance behind.

A Compact Speaker with Greater Scale and Bass Authority

One of the most important developments in the X1.6 Reference is the rear mounted passive radiator, which gives the loudspeaker significantly greater bass power and physical presence.

The result is a compact speaker with an authority that approaches the experience of a small floor standing loudspeaker.

This additional low frequency energy is not about exaggeration. It is about ease, balance and

realism. The X1.6 Reference delivers bass with more weight and freedom, allowing the midrange to breathe and the music to unfold with greater scale.

The speaker features Raidho’s own ribbon tweeter, known for its speed, openness and low-mass transparency, combined with a6.5-inch bass/midrange driver with a ceramic/aluminium membrane. Both drivers are built in-house at Raidho’s Danish factory, giving the company full control over the most critical parts of the loudspeaker’s performance.

Hand built Danish Craftsmanship

Every X1.6 Reference is assembled by hand in Denmark. This is central to Raidho’s philosophy: high-end loudspeakers are not simply products, but instruments for emotional connection. The cabinet, crossover, drivers and internal wiring have all been considered as parts of one musical system. Nothing has been chosen because it is easy. Everything has been chosen because it contributes to the final listening experience.

The visual expression follows the same Scandinavian approach: clean, precise and understated. The X1.6 Reference is designed to look calm in the room—and sound anything but ordinary.

New Raidho / Scansonic Stand Also Introduced Alongside the X1.6 Reference.

Raidho also introduces a new dedicated loudspeaker stand, available in black or white. The stand has been created to match the visual and mechanical needs of high-performance compact speakers and is compatible with all Raidho and Scansonic compact loudspeakers. It gives the speaker a stable, elegant and purposeful foundation, while keeping the design language clean and Scandinavian.

The recommended retail price of the new stand is EUR 500 per pair.

Pricing and Introduction

The Raidho X1.6 Reference has a recommended retail price of EUR 10,000 per pair.

Both the X1.6 Reference and the new Raidho / Scansonic stand will be introduced at HIGHEND Vienna 2026, taking place 4–7 June 2026 at Austria Center Vienna.
